Yogi Desai is an internationally renowned yoga master and author
in the field of yoga and holistic living. He began teaching yoga in
1960 and is one of the earliest pioneers of yoga in America. He has
been honored by several prestigious organizations for his historic
contribution to yoga. Soon after a profound awakening, Yogi Desai
developed a spiritual dimension to the practice of yoga postures and
named it Kripalu Yoga: Meditation in Motion, in honor of his guru.
Today, the methodology he developed is taught and practiced by his
students worldwide. He continues to develop and teach his
experiential approach in the form of Amrit Yoga. Yogi Desai has an
extensive background in designing courses and training teachers, and
today thousands of teachers worldwide are certified in the
methodology he developed. A prolific author, some of his books
include Amrit Yoga and Expand and Experience the Spiritual
Depth of Yoga. This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from
