Accommodation and Pricing

A land tour of Ireland’s beloved links would wear on even the most enthusiastic traveler.
The same schedule by sea, however, onboard the magnificent 122-passenger M/S Clipper Adventurer, is an entirely different proposition.
Each evening you'll relax surrounded by every comfort, convenience and the pastoral Irish countryside.
Each morning you will awaken to a new vista and a new links selected carefully for their intriguing variety of play:

Ballyliffin is Ireland s most northerly golf club and is often referred to as the Dornoch of Ireland. The Glashedy Links is a new 18-hole course opened in summer of 1995, offers a modern championship test and is considered by many to be the best new links course to have been built this century.
Donegal
Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh is delightfully located on a peninsula in Donegal Bay isolated from the rest of the world. Donegal is an excellent mixture of inland and links golf. The course forms two loops of nine holes as opposed to the traditional out and back .
Connemara
Connemara Golf Club is an outstanding links layout of championship length on Ireland s Atlantic Coast. Located in Ballyconneely Bay with the Twelve Bens Mountains in the background, these features combine to make the ideal setting for this links established in 1973.
Doonbeg
Doonbeg Golf Club, the newest addition to Ireland’s collection of storied links courses, is located midway between Ballybunion and Lahinch. Opened in 2001, it has already played host to the 2002 Palmer Cup matches and been named Golf Digest’s “Best New International Course” for 2002. Originally identified by the Black Watch Regiment as the preferred site for their course in the 1890’s, it was overlooked in favor of Lahinch due to inferior railroad access. Greg Norman has designed a magnificent links course, following a “least disturbance” philosophy to carve the holes out of a landscape of grass covered dunes which border the Atlantic. 14 of Doonbeg’s greens and 12 of its fairways were simply mowed. Each of the holes offers wonderful panoramas of the ocean and the Irish countryside.
Ballybunion
Ballybunion is probably the most famous of the Irish links courses largely due to the plaudits received from Tom Watson who is a regular visitor. The land surrounding the small seaside town has provided what many feel is the most natural setting in the world for golf. The Old Course is a tough challenge with towering sandhills, tight fairways and well guarded greens. Feature holes are the 11th which runs along the cliff top and the par 3 15th a shot of 216 yards all carry and often into the sea breeze.
Old Head Golf LinksOpened in 1997 this classic seaside championship links course has already received much acclaim. The Old Head course is spectacularly situated on a promontory jutting out into the Atlantic. As well as bringing the sea & cliffs into play, you have to contend with the prevailing winds. golfer s paradise and it s scenic beauty has been compared to Cypress Point and Pebble Beach.
European ClubThe course is on traditional links terrain on 200
acres of rugged sand dune land.
The links has been designed as a strong test and to be recognised as a links course of the future. Blind shots are notably absent at the European but pot bunkers of cavernous proportions & tall dunes provide for an unforgettable round.

The Clipper Adventurer is a handsome expedition vessel reminiscent of the days of the great ocean liners, with lots of varnished wood and brass. She sails on a wide variety of voyages — in Europe, the Canadian Arctic, the U.S., South America, and Antarctica.
Built in 1975 as the Alla Tarasova in the former Yugoslavia, the 122-passenger M/S Clipper Adventurer underwent a $13-million conversion in 1998 in Scandinavia, and features 61 comfortable, all-outside cabins, with lower beds, private bathroom facilities, and individual temperature controls.
The window-lined dining room seats all passengers at leisurely single seating,
where superb American and Continental cuisine
is served by Clipper’s friendly staff.Enter text that describes the product or service you offer.
There are two lounges — the Main Lounge and Bar on Promenade Deck, seating 130 passengers; and the Clipper Club, also on Promenade Deck, seating 45 passengers. There’s also a library/card room, a small workout room, a gift shop, and a hair salon.
Unique to the Clipper Adventurer is a spacious, covered promenade with a beautiful wooden deck (varnished Oregon pine) where passengers can view the seascapes.
There’s also plenty of open deck space on the Boat Deck and Sun Deck, while an observation platform located forward below the Bridge is ideal for wildlife viewing.
The Clipper Adventurer is an oceangoing vessel equipped with an ice-strengthened hull (A-1 ice class) ideally suited for cruising in remote environments such as Antarctica, but supremely comfortable anywhere she sails. A fleet of Zodiac landing craft provides access to areas where no infrastructure exists. The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite navigation and communication equipment including telephone, fax, and e-mail.
