This intermediate class will help to create optimal physical health by enlivening and invigorating your whole body, ending dormancy and strengthening the weak links by releasing the knots. It also energizes the mind and provides a controlled environment for working on all the negative issues that get exposed. This is the real key!
Class 2: Pilates - Beginners Mat Class
Pilates teaches balance and control of the body, and that capacity spills over in other areas of your life. In this 55-minute beginner Pilates Mat class you will learn the fundamental Pilates work, using your body weight for resistance, as well as the classical language used in this style of Pilates. Your body alignments will improve, thus enhancing breathing ,circulation, flexibility, balance, muscle tone, energy and mental concentration. Pilates also helps with recovery and prevention of injuries.
Class 3: Pilates - Intermediate Mat Class
This 55-minute intermediate Pilates Mat class will explore the art of coordinated body-mind-spirit and is designed to challenge your "powerhouse" (the center of your body: external obliques, abs, lower back muscles, gluteus) to the next level. You will learn new exercises and deepen your understanding of the ones you know. It will lengthen, strengthen and tone muscles without creating joint stress. Is this class for me? If you have practiced Pilates and have accomplished exercises such as Roll Up, One Leg Circle, Swan and Teaser - jump in and enjoy your new challenge.
